Background As Main Subject

While I love photographing people, landscape photography holds a special place for me. It’s where the backdrop becomes the main subject—the light, the textures, the scale of nature telling the story.

Studying landscapes has also helped shape how I approach portraits. Understanding what makes a scene powerful—composition, depth, and natural light—allows me to bring those same elements into my portrait work and create stronger, more intentional images.

For now, I wanted to share a collection of landscapes that capture the beauty of the Pacific Northwest—the places, light, and quiet moments that make this region so inspiring to photograph.
